Former Prime Minister Baroness Thatcher has died "peacefully" at the age of 87 after suffering a stroke, her family has announced.

Baroness Thatcher will be given a ceremonial funeral with military honours at St Paul’s Cathedral, the second highest honour after a state funeral. Downing Street said in an announcement that the arrangements for the funeral were “in line with the wishes of her family and with the Queen’s consent”.
