The drinks industry has lost a legal challenge against Scottish plans to charge a minimum price for alcohol. Scotland’s highest civil court ruled against a claim by the Scottish Whisky Association and others that Holyrood’s plans to set a minimum unit price of 50p would violate EU free trade rules.
