"Liking" something on Facebook is a form of speech protected by the First Amendment, a federal appeals court held, reviving a lawsuit that explores how much of what people do online is protected by the Constitution. The Fourth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday sided with a former deputy sheriff in Hampton, Va., who said he was fired for clicking Like on the Facebook page of his boss's opponent in a race for city sheriff.
