BSkyB is to scrap the word “British” from its branding after almost 25 years as the company completes an ambitious transformation into a pan-European pay TV giant following the £6.88bn buyout of its sister companies in Germany and Italy.

THE NUMBER of Scots out of work has fallen dramatically by 10,000, official figures have shown.
Wage levels have also overtaken cost-of-living hikes for the first time in five years, in a further boost for hard-up Scots.
Across the UK, unemployment fell by 115,000 to 1.96 million – the 18th consecutive quarterly fall.

Operator First Great Western tweeted the image and wrote: "New IEP train unveiled in Japan today. We're looking forward to seeing them on our network from 2017."
It also confirmed services will run at 125mph from London Paddington to Bristol, Cardiff, Swansea, Oxford and Worcester.
