Nicola Sturgeon has firmly denied telling a foreign ambassador that she would rather see David Cameron than Ed Miliband in Downing Street after the General Election.

According to projections by the US-based Pew Research Centre, the proportion of the British population identifying themselves as Christian will reduce by almost a third by 2050 to stand at just 45.4 per cent, compared with almost two thirds in 2010.
The number of Muslims in Britain is predicted to more than double to 11.3 per cent, or one in nine of the total population during that time.

Man Rescued After 66 Days Missing At Sea

A man has been rescued off the US coast more than two months after he was reported missing at sea.
Louis Jordan, 37, was spotted sitting on the upturned hull of his stricken sailboat, a 35ft vessel called Angel, about 200 miles (321 km) off the North Carolina coast.

Antarctica has experienced its highest temperature on record, according to meteorologists.
Sensors at Argentina's Esperanza Base on the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula recorded a temperature of 17.5°C (63.5°F).
