For almost four years, Chuck Blazer, once the top soccer executive in America, has been a cooperating witness in an FBI and IRS investigation of international soccer. On Wednesday, when the U.S. government stunned the world with the announcement of a wide-ranging prosecution of FIFA members and their business partners, the feds also revealed that Blazer pleaded guilty to nine criminal counts, including six for income tax evasion, two years after he began cooperating.

Mainz have signed FC Tokyo striker and former Chelsea target Yoshinori Muto on a four-year contract.
Muto is said to have rejected the chance to join Chelsea because of fears over a lack of regular game-time.
