Israel′s Netanyahu names new Golan settlement ′Trump Heights′ | DW

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday unveiled a gold-trimmed sign naming a proposed new community on the disputed Golan Heights after US President Donald Trump.
The label is a gesture of appreciation for Washington's recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the territory that the Jewish-majority state seized from Syria in the 1967 Six-Day War and later annexed without international recognition.
The new settlement will be called Ramat Trump, Hebrew for "Trump Heights."

Uber unveils next-generation Volvo self-driving car - Reuters

Uber Technologies Inc unveiled its newest Volvo self-driving car in Washington on Wednesday as it works to eventually deploy vehicles without drivers under some limited conditions.
Uber said the new production XC90 will be assembled by Volvo Cars in Sweden and have human controls like steering wheels and brake pedals, but also with factory-installed steering and braking systems designed for computer rather than human control.

Man flees with service pistol after police officer is stabbed in Osaka Prefecture | The Japan Times

A police officer was stabbed multiple times and his pistol was stolen in the northern Osaka Prefecture city of Suita, authorities said Sunday... The suspect, who is facing potential robbery and attempted murder charges, is thought to be in his 30s and is about 170-180 centimeters tall.
Surveillance camera footage showed a man loitering around the police box, which is located in front of Hankyu Railway’s Senriyama Station, about an hour before the incident.

Women's World Cup: Fifa revises attendances in France - BBC Sport

Fifa says 14 of 52 Women's World Cup matches have sold out, having previously said it was 20 and claiming tickets were only available for a "few matches".
Only two of nine matches have reached capacity - France's opening win over South Korea in Paris (45,261) and Brazil's victory against Jamaica in Grenoble (17,668).
But there has been confusion after England's opener against Scotland was being billed as close to sold out, but only 13,188 fans attended.
