▽Teenage climate activist nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

Two lawmakers in Sweden have nominated Swedish teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg for the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize.
Jens Holm and Hakan Svenneling, who are both members of Sweden’s Left Party, said Monday that Thunberg “has worked hard to make politicians open their eyes to the climate crisis” and “action for reducing our emissions and complying with the Paris Agreement is therefore also an act of making peace.”

Mr. Maezawa apologized, saying on Twitter that he had asked for the show’s cancellation “due to personal reasons.”

Australian Open winner Sofia Kenin climbed to No. 7 in the Women's Tennis Association rankings Monday, while fellow American Cori "Coco" Gauff moved from No. 67 to No. 51 after she upset Naomi Osaka in Australia.
Kenin, who beat Gauff in the fourth round of the Australian Open, had been ranked No. 15 entering the tourney. Serena Williams retained her No. 9 spot, but Kenin now is the highest-ranked American player.
