We haven’t got official numbers as to how many units of the Nintendo 3DS have been sold here in the US but we have an unofficial figures for the UK. As of this writing, gaming news sites have reported that over 113,000 units have been sold in the UK.

Users reported eye strain and headaches although Nintendo claimed to have not received any such complaints. Those who managed to keep their eyes glued to the 3D device may well have suffered from the 3DS' black screen of death bug anyway. Despite the controversy Ninty is claiming to have set a new US handheld sales record although its being mighty shady on those figures.

Strong banks and commodity stocks hauled Britain's top share index back above the 6,000 level to a nearly six-week closing high on Friday as solid U.S. jobs data indicated the economic recovery was gathering pace.

Northern Line trains will not stop at Tottenham Court Road for eight months to enable major works on platforms to take place as part of a £500m upgrade.
The Central Line, which also stops at the station, will run as normal.

A Northern Ireland policeman was killed in a car bomb attack Saturday which leaders on all sides vowed would not be allowed to derail the province's delicate peace process.
Ronan Kerr, 25, a Catholic recruit who only completed his training three weeks ago, was killed by the booby-trap under his car outside his home in Omagh, the scene of Northern Ireland's worst terror atrocity.
