Al-Jazeera journalist Mohamed Fahmy has renounced his Egyptian citizenship, his family says, in a bid to follow his Australian colleague Peter Greste in being released from a Cairo jail.

BP has reported lower profits and says it will cut spending on exploration because of the fall in oil prices.
Underlying profits in the final three months of 2014 were down 20% on a year earlier at $2.2bn (£1.5bn). For the full year, profits fell 10% to $12.1bn.

Iceland to build first temple to Norse gods since Viking age | The Guardian

Icelanders will soon be able to publicly worship at a shrine to Thor, Odin and Frigg with construction starting this month on the island’s first major temple to the Norse gods since the Viking age.
Worship of the gods in Scandinavia gave way to Christianity around 1,000 years ago but a modern version of Norse paganism has been gaining popularity in Iceland.
