U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed on Saturday to proceed with negotiations after a series of escalations to their nations’ trade war threatened to disrupt the global economy... On the subject of Huawei, the Chinese telecommunications behemoth that Washington has described as a security risk to the U.S. and allies, Trump suggested he will be reversing his government’s decision to ban American companies from selling products to the tech giant. Still, Trump said the issue of Huawei will be resolved only at the conclusion of the negotiations.

Deutsche Bank Considers Up to 20,000 Job Cuts - WSJ

Deutsche Bank AG is weighing whether to cut 15,000 to 20,000 jobs, or more than one in six full-time positions globally, according to a person familiar with high-level discussions about the latest attempts to turn around the struggling financial giant.
The cuts being contemplated by senior executives reflect an acceleration of Deutsche Bank’s downsizing and another major pullback from its global ambitions. If followed through, the reduction would represent 16% to 22% of Deutsche Bank’s workforce of 91,463 employees, as disclosed by the bank as of the end of March.

Footage of the jet-skiers driving at the colony of protected common seals at a nature reserve was filmed by a shocked onlooker... The incident in Skegness was filmed earlier this month and has prompted condemnation and calls for jet-skis to be banned from the area.

Neill Blomkamp Assures That His 'RoboCop' Sequel Will Feature the Original Suit - Bloody Disgusting

He may not be making that Aliens sequel we’ve all been begging for but Neill Blomkamp (District 9) is most definitely making a sequel to RoboCop, and it’s set to be a follow-up to Paul Verhoeven’s original classic. As we learned last year, Blomkamp is rewriting a script penned by original RoboCop scribes Ed Neumeier and Michael Miner back in the ’80s!
Last we heard, the new movie’s title was RoboCop Returns.
