Hong Kong's pro-democracy camp wins 85% of district council seats: media - The Mainichi

Pro-democracy parties pulled off a landslide victory in Sunday's district council elections in Hong Kong, local media reported Monday, the clearest sign yet that voters support the protests against the Beijing-backed government that have rocked the Chinese territory for almost six months.
Democracy-supporting candidates took 385 of the 452 directly elected seats -- or 85 percent -- seizing a majority for the first time since the former British colony was returned to Chinese rule in 1997, according to local media outlets.

Australia investigates alleged China spy plot - The Japan News

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said Monday that allegations of a Chinese plot to plant an agent into Australia’s Parliament are “deeply disturbing and troubling.”
The Nine Network on Sunday aired explosive accusations that suspected Chinese operatives had offered Melbourne luxury car dealer Bo “Nick” Zhao 1 million Australian dollars ($679,000) to run as a candidate for a parliamentary seat in Melbourne.
The 32-year-old was found dead in a Melbourne hotel room in March after reportedly approaching ASIO, Australia’s counterespionage agency. Police have been unable to determine how he died.

Musk suggests Tesla has 200,000 orders for Cybertruck - Reuters

Tesla Inc Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk indicated in a tweet on Sunday that the electric carmaker received 200,000 orders for its electric pickup truck within three days of its launch... In an earlier tweet, Musk said the company had received 146,000 orders for Cybertruck, and tweeted again on Sunday saying “200K” - an apparent reference to the number of orders.
