South Korean serial killer identified after 33 years | The Japan Times

South Korean police have identified a suspect in one of the country’s most notorious serial murder cases more than 30 years after the first of the killings, they said Thursday.
Between 1986 and 1991, 10 women between the ages of 13 and 71 were found slain in Hwasong, a city just south of Seoul.
All had been raped and all were found bound by their own stockings and clothing at sites within a radius of 3 kilometers (1.9 miles).

Mitsubishi Corp Unit Expects $320 Million Loss on Rogue Oil Trade - Bloomberg

Mitsubishi Corp. said a rogue oil trader at its Singapore unit lost $320 million in unauthorized transactions disguised as legitimate hedges for customers.
The employee, a Chinese national working at Petro-Diamond Singapore Pte, has been fired and reported to police, Mitsubishi said in a statement, declining to name him. The trader, hired in November 2018 to handle oil business with China, “repeatedly” engaged in the unauthorized deals since January, disguising them to “look like hedge transactions,” the parent company said.

Barron Hilton, Hotel Magnate and Founding A.F.L. Owner, Dies at 91 - The New York Times

Barron Hilton, who oversaw the vast expansion of his father’s hotel empire and took part in changing the pro sports landscape as an original club owner in the American Football League, died on Thursday at his home in Los Angeles. The last survivor of the A.F.L.’s founding ownership, he was 91.
The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, of which he was chairman emeritus, announced the death.

Lib Dems move ahead of Labour in the polls days after pledging to cancel Brexit

The You Gov poll, published in the same week as the Lib Dems held their annual party conference, puts the Lib Dems on 23%, up four points on the previous poll.
Labour stand at 21%, two points down.
The Conservatives are on 32 per cent, unchanged on a week ago.
Earlier this week, the Lib Dems pledged to cancel Brexit if they come to power at the next general election.
